Daddy
Daddy, Daddy why did you reject me?
Couldn’t you see how beautiful I would be?
Don’t you know Daddies are picked by God?
He wanted you to have a relationship with me and do your part.
But instead you cut me away
And said to yourself, maybe one day.
One day down the road, I’ll make it okay
One day in the future when all is going my way
But Daddy, I guess that day never came
Because Daddy, I’m grown now and lived with
many stains and much pain.
But Daddy, I want you to know
There was one who stepped into my life
And a Daddy’s love He did show.
So, I forgive you and I want you to know
I ‘m healed
Healed by My Daddy, God’s cleansing power
And all His Love upon me does He shower
So Daddy, don’t worry
I’ll always be okay
My Daddy, God, is in my heart to stay.
